Security Officer (part-time) Lorain County Community College - Elyria, OH $12.44 an hour - Part-time Reporting to the Director of Campus Security, the Officer will provide: security service for college students, faculty and staff as well as facilities, equipment and grounds; campus security by patrolling buildings, parking lots, and roadways; and other functions as necessary. Campus Security is a non-commissioned position. This position is a weekend shifts covering the hours between 10:30 p.m., Friday night through 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, and 10:30 p.m., Saturday night through 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Required Qualifications: High school graduate with a least one-year prior experience in law enforcement (military, police, fire, security, corrections, or auxiliaries); ability to communicate effectively both orally and written; ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to accomplish/perform tasks with minimal supervision; ability to perform duties in inclement weather; able to work the specified schedule; computer literate; possess clean driving record and valid Ohio drivers license; CPR and AED certifications (or ability to obtain shortly after hire). Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree; prior experience in a college or university law enforcement setting.
