    The goal of PATH's Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) Program is to apply effective, innovative approaches to broadening access to and use of key interventions that address pressing causes of maternal, newborn and child deaths, and poor nutritional status. Our approach includes: an emphasis on community-level action; a focus on improving the quality of existing health services, improving preventive and curative care across the continuum of care from facility to community level; a commitment to reaching underserved communities; a focus on working to understand and address barriers to high-quality care; and mobilization of social and political support to create and sustain an enabling environment for service delivery of key evidence-based interventions. Where appropriate, the MNCHN Program strives to establish public-private partnerships to advance our goals.

     

    The intern will support the MNCHN program in conducting strategic business analysis, MNCHN talent mapping, assist in the write-up of MNCHN capacity statement, documenting MNCHN program integration approaches with other PATH programs to expand the reach of our program.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This project will include online research, desk reviews, analysis, technical writing, developing power point, and supporting development of the following outputs:   

    1. MNCHN strategy power point deck (internal and external)
    2. Talent map
    3. MNCHN cape statement
    4. Program approaches template
    • Learn how to conduct strategic donor analysis for prioritization
    • Learn how to develop -a talent map
    • Learn how to develop program capacity statements
    • Improve technical writing skills targeted towards program integration and business development

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Critical thinking capabilities
    • Strategic planning
    • Familiarity with non-profit funding mechanisms
    • Familiarity with global health, specifically maternal, newborn child health and nutrition a plus
    • Global/International Health MPH students preferred

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor Degree in the Health Professions, Public Health, Business Administration or similar; Graduate degree a plus
    • 3-5 years of work experience
    • Administrative management work experience in a service industry managing the day to day operations of a significant program or working as a Program Manager in a non-academic setting such as a HealthCare environment. Must have some grant management experience
    • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
    • Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills that include Excel, Word and Powerpoint and databases.
