  • Responsibilities

    The Managing Director will take primary responsibility for the design, planning and execution all of the educational programs held at the BUild Lab: IDG Capital Student Innovation Center. A primary responsibility will be the direct supervision and leadership of the program team, which consists of the Program Director, Social Innovation and the Program Director, Business Ventures. Together with the program team, the Managing Director, BUild Lab will ensure the seamless execution of existing programs such as pitch competitions, boot camps, workshops, awarding of start-up grants, mentoring and summer accelerators. The Managing Director will also be responsible for the creation of new programming consistent with the needs of our students and best external practices. The Managing Director will work directly with the Academic Director, Innovate@BU to ensure consistency between for-credit and co-curricular programming.

    Required Skills

    Bachelors degree required, MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred. A minimum of five years of business or non-profit experience, preferably in program management; proven interest and experience in both business and social innovation and entrepreneurship; and excellent oral and written communications skills are all strongly desired. We seek a forward-thinking and goals-oriented individual who is able to work both independently and be part of a team.
