  • Responsibilities

    The Summer Camps Marketing Associate will work as a full-time corporate employee in the Washington, D.C. headquarters office of The Headfirst Companies. This Associate's responsibilities span all aspects of Summer Camps business, including, but not limited to, overall marketing strategy & execution, customer experience and project management, on-site operations, marketing efforts, and sales and business development initiatives. Our Marketing Associate must possess exceptional account management skills and be able to communicate both on a proactive and reactive basis with professional internal team management, potential customers and families along with sites and external partners. In addition, the Associate must be a proactive and creative problem solver. To succeed, emotional intelligence to guarantee market credibility, while possessing the business acumen and attention to detail are critical to execute against high standards to ensure continued operational excellence.

    Marketing & Customer Communications:

    • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for all Summer Camps marketing efforts to include project management of all marketing initiatives.
    • Execute supportive marketing initiatives, including email, digital advertisements, event management, outbound phone campaigns, webinars, and mailings.
    • Manage and oversee the ongoing website & registration platform turnover and edits through both internal resources and external contractors.
    • Execute against a budget, operating plan, and all program expenditures to ensure financial goals are met.
    • Identify and create new opportunities to grow the database of potential customers including regional sales events, third party partnerships, digital targeting and school promotions.
    • Manage and provide potential and existing customers with industry-leading customer service.

    Database Management & Analytics:

    • Provide customer reporting both weekly and annually to all Summer Camps team stakeholders and potential third parties.
    • Support the daily enrollment process for Summer Camps and develop a thorough understanding of all internal systems used to track and engage with customers.
    • Track customer data and requests through our customer systems. Develop a proficiency in and understanding of customer base to provide the highest level of customer service while also contributing to growth initiatives.
    • Manage a large customer database to best identify potential customers to provide highly-tailored marketing initiatives.

    Operations:

    • Assess program strengths, identify improvement areas, and develop related recommendations, including industry-specific growth opportunities.
    • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management or operations viewed favorably.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • 2 - 3 years or more of account management or marketing experience viewed favorably.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be extremely comfortable interacting on the phone and in-person with parents, customers and third-party vendors.
    • Demonstrated experience managing, implementing, and executing challenging operational details.
