This internship provides an opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of various purchasing and supply chain functions. The Intern is responsible for a variety of projects designed to be completed. Gain knowledge of and interact with purchasing and other business professionals throughout the internship. - Job Responsibilities - Supports day-to-day operations of the Purchasing and Global Production & Technology departments developing a general understanding of all aspects of administration of the purchasing function including policies, procedures and processes. - Gains exposure to various assessments and resources including Spend Analysis and Management, Process Improvements, and Vendor Management. - Primary focus will be working with and supporting the [Insert Division] department. - Helps determine and develop sourcing opportunities. - Provides assistance with special projects as needed. - Additional duties are assigned. - Qualifications / Requirements - Current enrollment in graduate or undergraduate degree program in a Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field at a recognized college or university - High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. - Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). - Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts. - Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. - Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. - Ability to work with and influence peers and management. - Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. - EEO Statement:
