  • Responsibilities

    Provides administrative and program support to the executive director of the Meharry National Alumni Association in conjunction with the College’s Institutional Advancement (IA) assistant vice president for operations. Incumbent coordinates office operations.

    • Provides administrative and program support to the Meharry National Alumni Association, Inc. MNAA) executive director in developing and facilitating programs, and provides timely and exemplary customer service to visitors and those interacting with the office by phone. • Develops and utilizes strategies, tactics and tools to facilitate effective and ongoing communication with alumni and other stakeholders by mail and phone, through publications, the MNAA web site, and social media networks. • Oversees alumni research data including updating records, and alumni tracking in conjunction with the College’s IA gift management services department. Assists with planning and execution of alumni events and activities. Develops and promotes a menu of benefits for alumni membership. • Manages programs that generate income for the MNAA such as membership dues, sale of goods and services, affinity programs and events • Forwards alumni gifts intended for the college to the institutional advancement division’s gift management services office. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Experience

    • 5 years of relevant job experience

    • Liberal Arts Bachelor’s degree required

    • Master’s degree and office management experience in fundraising preferred.
