  • Responsibilities

    Assembles, tests, disassembles, and re-builds a variety of electromechanical units, subassemblies and complete machine modules using standard processes.

    • Assembles electromechanical units and subassemblies to print specifications and is certified in the majority of the complex assemblies within a cell.
    • Performs basic leak checking tasks
    • Perform quality investigations within a cell and resolves issues with assistance
    • Complete standard cell documentation forms, requisition, DMR’s, Time sheets, assembly logs, checklists, etc.
    • Utilize chess to print shop packets, BOM’s, pull lists to check inventory, kit status, part due dates, transaction history, and assembly status.
    • Additional tasks as required.
    • Perform mechanical and electrical test operations on subassemblies using instruments and fixtures and corrects any problem identified in the test
    • Write JSA’s and recommends fixturing and tooling to improve safety in the cell
    • Recommend and pursue approval of redesigns or modifications to improve the product
    • Evaluate ECO’s, SAF’s, PCN’s, and configurators for their impact to the cell and pursue any actions required to prepare for their introductions to the cell
    • Perform in leadership roles including spoke positions and project leader
    • Train & recommend approval for certification for complex assemblies and operations
    • Assist in advanced cell test operations including complete module testing
    • Maintain test fixtures
    • Travel on an as-needed basis

    KNOWLEDGE OF: Cell's test operations. Leak checking. Microsoft Word. Microsoft EXCEL. Working from prints, procedures, planning schedules, and verbal and written instructions. ECO’s SAF’s., PCN’s DMR’s JSA’s. Safety policies and procedures within the assembly process. CHESS.

    SKILLED AT: Problem solving. Data Entry activities in Microsoft EXCEL and ACCESS as required. Troubleshooting, assembly, testing, disassembly and rebuilding electromechanical units, subassemblies and complete machine modules. Training and developing others. Quality investigations. Writing Trouble Reports. Investigating trouble logs.
