    As an integral part of the Institutional Advancement team, the Stewardship and Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive donor stewardship program, including strategically integrating the president's communications into stewarding key donors by and for whom presidential attention would be beneficial and meaningful. The primary focus is to help strengthen relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors and prospects through a strategic and systematic process designed to promote optimal donor support and sustained interest in the College. Fundamental responsibilities include thinking creatively and proactively to determine other ways of illuminating the impact of donor support and recognizing donors in meaningful ways. Responsible for managing the gift and grant acknowledgment process, and donor cultivation and recognition communications. This position will create and implement strategies and directions for social media program, utilizing a variety of platforms and interfaces.

     

    • To enhance and improve College's visibility that will lead to increased contributions from alumni and other stakeholders. Redefine alumni and stakeholder engagement cycle utilizing social media, e-newsletters/publications, and other electronic outreach platforms. Identify and execute more innovative methods of stewardship, post-solicitation engagement and recognition opportunities. • Develop and implement creative and effective policies, programs, and practices that give structure and definition to the personal and public acknowledgment of the College's donors. Continually streamline, update and implement a system of general acknowledgment and other communications and edit content to reflect changes at the College and special circumstances. Help foster continuous and engaging stakeholder relationships through multi-channel communications. Continue professional development, education and training in donor relations practices, trends and innovations. • Provide writing/editing support and project management to include conceptualizing, creating and producing reports, special letters, stakeholder acknowledgments, and stewardship communication on behalf of the President, the senior vice president of Institutional Advancement, and other executive leaders. • Responsible for thinking critically and to craft optimal donor communications in conjunction with Institutional Advancement leaders and the Marketing and Communications department to create timely responses to donor inquiries and constituent communications including publications, web­ based content and public recognition programs and physical edifices such as plaques, recognition walls and electronic presentation screens/media. • Plan, develop, and coordinate with development officers, faculty and staff the execution and distribution of annual College progress reports to stakeholders. Inform stakeholders of the Colleges latest priorities, plans and recent advances. Gather, maintain, interpret and update fundraising progress reports. Responsible for working with Financial Aid or appropriate office to enhance student collection and ensuring that student scholarship profiles are completed and distributed to stakeholders. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • Proficiency in or ability to learn and use Development software including Blackbaud Raiser's Edge • Ability to maintain and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately • Proficiency in creating and editing documents using Word and Excel and utilizing Outlook for electronic mail communications • Strong interpersonal and organization skills with attention to detail • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to gather, analyze and summarize information including numerical and financial data • Proficiency all relevant Social Media platforms and applications

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Three or more years of successful experience in higher education fundraising, marketing, media or public relations are required.
