Camp Walden - a traditional summer overnight camp for girls in Denmark, ME, is searching for an Adventure Course Instructor-High Ropes and Climbing Wall.
Founded in 1916 our small, closely knit Walden family of 150 girls, ages 9 -16, enables each camper the opportunity to fully develop her own personality and skills. Walden prides itself on creating an atmosphere which encourages self-confidence, promotes leadership skills, and provides a trusting and secure environment where girls can thrive.
One of the many daily activities that campers participate in at Walden is the opportunity to learn to climb our wall and master our high ropes course and zip line. We are searching for an individual who loves working with children and teaching on an adventure course. While at camp you will spend most of every day teaching on our Adventure Course.
Candidates should have experience with Outdoor Adventure Courses and have experience working with children. We will provide training on our course and Wilderness First Aid Certification. Prior summer camp or outdoor education experience helpful.
