    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   Master’s degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.  Proficient in hand drafting, construction methods, and building materials. Prefer candidate to be fluent in a current version of AutoCAD or Revit, Microsoft Word, and have previous teaching experience.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

    • Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course    Information sheets.
    • Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
    • Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
    • Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
    • Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
    • Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

  • Qualifications
    • Broad range of computer skills in operating systems, communications, networking and applications.
    • Ability to manage multiple engineering tasks in parallel.
    • Skills in the safe use of hand and power tools including saws, welders and rotohammers.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
    • Knowledge and practice of field safety.
    • Appreciation for cultural sensitivities, cultural competencies.
    • Physical and mental stamina to obtain the following certifications or satisfactorily complete training for: tower climbing, firearms (rifle/handgun), off-road driving, avalanche, forklift, CPR+wilderness first aid, helicopter safety, helicopter underwater egress, bear safety.
    • Ability to lift/carry 70 lbs. repeatedly and frequently for distances up to ¼ mile, up elevation and over challenging terrain.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • With limited supervision, manage and implement moderately complex geophysical projects, which may include: logistics, installation activities, maintenance, network configuration, station communications and data flow activities. 
    • Design and/or test new hardware and software systems.
    • Independently identify and solve standard technical issues related to hardware, software, and data communications. 
    • Generate detailed technical project documentation and prepares required reports.
    • Contribute to scientific and engineering presentations on geophysical project results.
    • Travel domestically or internationally for extended periods in support of geophysical projects on short notice.
    • Track and stock adequate inventory and maintain a well-organized warehouse and office space.
    • Track returned equipment and assist in maintaining the vehicle fleet.
    • Oversee shipping and receiving for domestic and international shipments.
    • Ensure that metadata, contact, access, photos and required documentation are current and submitted within a timely manner. 
    • Other duties may be assigned as necessary for the successful operation of the business.
