CIVIL & ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICE Michael Baker Internationals civil engineering professionals manage and staff active projects in over 40 countries on five continents. DESCRIPTION Our Environmental Intern would assist with day-to-day projects and coordinate with team members within the Environmental Group. The Environmental Intern would work with other professionals, which may include engineers, environmental analysts, planners, GIS analysts, landscape architects, and hydrologists. Typical tasks would include local fieldwork, attending meetings and preparing notes, preparing and editing spreadsheets, and photograph documentation. Support to others on technical reports and applications is also anticipated. The successful candidate will be required to utilize skills to perform essential duties including technical report writing, and data collection. * Attending meetings and preparing meeting notes * Assisting with technical report preparation and reproduction * Data-management and basic fieldwork PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Candidate must be enrolled and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, GIS/Data Science at an accredited university or college. * Minimum of 1 year of completed post-secondary coursework in students field of study. * Minimum 2.5 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale. * Proficiency with MS Office. * Technical skills for daily tasks include good analytical skills, strong technical writing ability, and excellent communication skills. * Must have strong organizational skills. * Experience with federal environmental regulations such as CWA, NEPA, and ESA, as well as state regulations is a plus. * Must be able to travel and perform in different weather conditions in an urban and/or industrial landscape. 5 hours ago
