The Bitterroot College of the University of Montana invites applications for the position of the Director of Administrative and Facilities Services. Working under the direction of the Bitterroot College Director, this position will plan, implement, coordinate, and supervise all supportive services related to the operations of Bitterroot College. This position will identify, develop, and implement policies and procedures to increase the efficiency of operational services.
Operational services will include (but will not be limited to) business services (accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel, property management, purchasing, and treasury services), event services (event planning, scheduling, and support), facilities services (mail services, custodial services, grounds, laboratory safety, maintenance, and recycling), fiscal services (budget development and account reconciliation), human resource services (recruitment and hiring process and documentation, payroll, personnel communications, and personnel policy development, implementation, and communication [e.g. new employee orientation, personnel handbook, etc.]), oversight of information technology services, and public safety (parking, safety, and security). This position will be part of the Bitterroot College leadership team, responsible for the efficient and effective management of all operational services. This position will require constant initiative in its focus on continuous process improvement. This position will function independently to confront and solve supportive services challenges.
The person assigned to this position will supervise custodial staff, evening/weekend campus staff, information technology staff, and science laboratory staff. The position will recruit, hire, train, schedule, manage, and evaluate staff.
