The POLICE OFFICER COMMISSIONED within the UM Police Department performs a variety of quality law enforcement duties. This position is responsible for patrolling campus and campus related facilities to enforce all University regulation, Federal and State laws; investigating criminal activity and accidents; responding to and intervening in residence hall or family housing disturbances; providing safety and security by unlocking doors, inspecting campus facility for safety, health and fire hazards; and providing crime prevention functions to the University community by providing money escorts, person escorts in the hours of darkness and giving crime prevention presentations.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Position requires an alternative work schedule, cycles between day or night 8-12 hours.
SALARY: $26.798/HR
UNION AFFILIATION: FOCUS-MFPE
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: Six months minimum
