The coordinator provides support and guidance to sorority and fraternity chapters and governing councils in program development, risk reduction, engagement opportunities, and the promotion of leadership development for community members. This position also supports large-scale student engagement programs for the Center for Student Involvement & Leadership. This position and its work are represented by the State College and University Professional Association ( SCUPA ) bargaining unit. Starting salary is $48,118. Anticipated start date January 2019 For description of benefits available, see SCUPA Benefits Required Qualifications Bachelors degree. One year of experience working with sorority and fraternity life. Working knowledge of fraternity and sorority life policies and procedures. Experience working with compliance of university policies related to health, safety and/or risk reduction strategies. One year of experience in student activities, program planning, or event management. Experience advising student groups and organizations. Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. Demonstrated evidence of establishing and maintaining professional boundaries with students. Ability to work effectively with a diverse community. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Successful interview and three background checks: Act 34; Act 151 (Child Abuse History Clearance); and Act 114 ( FBI Federal Criminal History-Fingerprinting). Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in higher education, student personnel, leadership, or related field. Two years of experience working with sorority and fraternity life. Experience collaborating with National Fraternity/Sorority Headquarters. Experience working with chapters within IFC , NPC and NPHC . Experience managing, leading, or facilitating formal recruitment. Demonstrated knowledge of Fraternal Information & Programming Group Guidelines. Demonstrated evidence of facilitating/teaching student development programs. Job Description Greek Life Coordinate, facilitate, and assess all Greek Life programming including, but not limited to Recruitment/Membership Intake, New Member Education, Leadership Development Programs (Presidents Retreat, All-Member Conference), Greek Week, National Hazing Prevention Week, Risk-Reduction Programming, etc. Coordinate, develop, administer, and assess the Greek Chapter Assessment Tool ( GCAT ). Assist with the development, implementation, and education of Greek Life policies and procedures. Work in collaboration with international and national headquarters, chapter advisors, faculty/staff advisors, alumni and members of the university community to support and advance the quality and excellence of the program Assist with the development of learning outcomes and assessment plans for Greek Life. Assess, track, and write reports on Greek Life initiatives. Provide support and consultation for the Greek Peer Health Educator Program as administered by CHEP . Serve as the primary advisor to All Greek Council ( AGC ), Cultural Greek Council ( CGC ), Interfraternity Council ( IFC ), and Panhellenic Council. Provide leadership, assistance, and support to student leaders and chapters to ensure compliance of office and university policies, particularly related to health, safety, and risk-reduction strategies Provide leadership, assistance, and support to create, coordinate, and/or facilitate diversity and inclusion education and programming within the greek community that supports that Universitys Diversity to Inclusion Strategic Plan Provide leadership, assistance, and support to chapters regarding training, recruitment, operations, event planning, budgeting In collaboration with the Director and university partners, review and approve all on-campus events sponsored and/or facilitated by fraternity and sorority life organizations through Get Involved Provide ongoing support and advisement to the fraternity and sorority community to ensure compliance with University, CSI , National, and FIPG Risk Management policies and procedures. Lead marketing efforts through the creation and distribution of marketing materials Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate a broad range of diverse activities and programs that promote the immersion, inclusion, retention, personal and intellectual development, and engagement of the student body including, but not limited to, Homecoming activities, Org Outbreak, Crafternoons, Final Stretch, etc. Work cooperatively with various University Departments and other community partners to promote and support student engagement initiatives that align with the Universitys mission Evening and weekend work will be required to fulfill some of the programming requirements.
