Positions are between .75 and 1.00 FTE. Responsibilities: Elementary interns will be given opportunities and responsibilities in all teaching areas to help them fulfill requirements for their credential by developing the competencies needed for effective teaching. The assignments in any area will reflect both individual strengths and areas where extra development is needed. You may also be asked to perform some assistant roles in the classroom and, if a full time employee, you may be asked to help with supervision of the before and after school programs for brief periods. See www.woodinvillemontessori.org for a full job description Qualifications: -Bachelor or Masters degree from an accredited college or university, strong background in History/Geography, Math/science and/or English/writing a bonus -AMS Elementary I II Credential in process or willingness to pursue -Two or more years classroom assisting experience is preferable -Demonstrated enjoyment and understanding of children -Demonstrated ability to write proficiently, speak in public and work with adults -Ability to work successfully in a collaborative team relationship -Ability to create and maintain collaborative working relationship with parents and students -High level of organization and attention to detail and an understanding of how to convey this to students -Able to handle the stress and demands of the teaching profession. -Technology proficient including Office Suite, Email, and internet research -WA State Food Handlers Permit -First-Aid/CPR -DEL portable background check Salary/Benefits: Salary is dependent on education and experience.
