Assistant Dean of Housing Moody Bible Institute 40 reviews - Chicago, IL The Assistant Dean of Housing is responsible for coordinating the Residence Hall and Jenkins Apartment housing process as well as providing leadership to the administrative functions of the on-campus housing process. This position supports the mission of the Institute and Student Development by servicing the housing needs of students while maintaining strong occupancy ratios within the Residence Halls and Jenkins Hall. The Assistant Dean of Housing also furthers the Residence Lifes mission by 1) mentoring student leaders, 2) engaging campus culture constructively, and 3) collaborating effectively with other departments, and 4) providing authentic student care and discipline. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. * Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Residence Life to provide leadership, organization, and administration to the fall and spring student room reservation process within the Chicago campus residence halls, Jenkins apartments, and off-campus approval process. * Administer and develop the Residential Management Systems (RMS) Mercury housing software program providing an online housing sign-up process and database for student housing assignments, meal plans, and billing information. * Submit monthly housing reports to the Associate Dean of Residence Life detailing the occupancy numbers for all on-campus residential living areas to the Associate Dean of Residence Life. * Collaborate with the enrollment management team to ensure strong occupancy numbers throughout the fall and spring semesters of student housing. * Provide housing statistics regarding incoming students and housing vacancies to the enrollment management team throughout the Admissions process prior to each semester. * Partner with Student Accounts and Academic Records to develop yearly billing timelines and regularly process student charges from RMS to Campus Solutions. * Effectively communicate all housing processes (including off-campus approval, residence hall room selection and changes, break housing, and Jenkins Apartment housing) to the Residence Life staff, students, and other departments. * Oversee the communication flow of housing/move-in information to all incoming students. * Administer the move-in/move-out schedule of the Jenkins Hall apartments and assist Facilities Services in scheduling deep cleans in vacant apartments during winter and summer breaks. * Maintain records for Jenkins Hall licensing, summer extensions, and subletting agreements. * Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Residence Life and RSs in resolving student housing concerns. * Serve as a liaison between ITS and RMS Mercury to trouble-shoot Mercury and Campus Solutions interaction breakdowns.
