    Health Benefits is seeking a Proposal Analyst. This position is responsible for Responsible for developing, gathering and organizing information in response to (simple to highly complex) Requests for Information (RFIs) and Proposals (RFPs) and Executive Summaries for prospective/renewal clients. Serves as the proposal writer and project manager, collaborating with various levels of management/subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company (i.e., Region Presidents, Sales Executives, Client Managers, Underwriters, Sales Support, Operations, Legal, Managed Care teams, etc.). Responsible for providing exceptional customer service, which includes responding with RFP information that is complete, accurate and timely.

    Works under minimal supervision and acts a resource, mentor, trainer, and key technical writer and graphics developer for the team. Works with the marketing team to ensure that RFP templates are updated with the company approved branding and keeps abreast of and communicates new products and services to the RFP team.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Review and adhere to RFP instructions/submission requirements while managing a substantial RFP workload
    • Conduct RFP Kick-Off calls as needed
    • Coordinate discussions with Sales Executives, Operations, Managed Care and Healthcare Management and other teams to determine the winning sales strategy to incorporate into RFP response as needed.
    • Triage content to SMEs and format RFP response document using standard master template.
    • Generate RFP response documents that are clear, concise, complete, accurate and professional.
    • Coordinate RFP response document(s) through completion following established and documented RFP team processes.
    • Utilize RFP database tool to populate questionnaires accurately for prospective/renewal questionnaires.
    • Maintain assigned content database topics ensuring information is accurate and updated.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with RFP team, Sales Executives, Region Presidents, Sales Support, and SME’s.
    • Maintain solid knowledge of existing and new products, services, networks, vendors, partners, and subcontractors.
    • Make recommendations and develop process improvements (i.e., proposal process, RFP database technology, etc.)
    • Provide support to team members including RFP review and team mentoring
    • Special projects or responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, Employee Benefits, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or English/ equivalent experience.
    • Minimum five years previous experience working with RFPs/proposals
    • Benefit administration/Insurance industry experience
    • Excellent time management and organization skills

    The compensation range for this Senior Proposal Analyst role is $56,721 to $106,504. The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.

    • Experience with VI Poultry Live Operations preferred (PS, Hatchery, Broilers, Feed Mill).
    • Technical aptitude with successful project management experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of MTech Systems and SAP preferred
    • BA/BS or equivalent is preferred

    Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available. • Work conditions are typical of an office environment. • This role does not require any domestic travel • Position requires the physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring. • Position requires the physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours
