    Position SummaryWith strategic leadership, develop and implement processes to identify National University (NU) intelligence needs. Researches related information, analyzes relevant facts, create, sustain useful visualizations and reports for NU. Champion the NU Tableau dashboard portfolio to provide timely and reliable data for informed decision-making and builds capacity and tools to enable stakeholders at various levels of the organization to use data to drive continuous improvement. Apply advanced statistical analysis, data mining and various predictive modeling techniques to provide information, knowledge, collaboration and tools to substantiate growth and continued success of the University. Partner with senior leadership on vision, objectives and projects to expand the analytics projects.Essential FunctionsPartners with senior leadership to design, sustain and expand the NU analytical metrics and infrastructure program. Designs and sustains a system for managing institutional knowledge accumulated across the University. Collaborates closely with other analyst to support the analysis and reporting of data and/or information. Builds and executes data extraction, transfer and loading from various sources, as well as, implements appropriate security measures to ensure data integrity. Facilitates the transmission and understanding of data to enable fact-based decisions to various stakeholders such as leadership, faculty, administrators and staff. Champions the metadata management and data quality assurance to ensure data accuracy, reliability and documentation. Applies advanced predictive modeling, data mining, machine learning and statistical techniques to enable informed decision-making, student support and strategic initiatives.Builds relationships and liaises with various internal departments to drive guidance, collaboration and project success including interacting with and responding appropriately to urgent requests from multiple internal and/or external stakeholders. Provides reliable and well-timed data supporting strategic planning, student success initiatives and educational and operational value-added services.Utilizes various software applications and reporting tools to deliver actionable data to end-users in an understandable format. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/ARequirementsEducation & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Social Sciences or related filed; Master’s degree in related field, strongly preferred; and, five (5) years’ relevant experience conducting data analysis, data mining or data visualization or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of information technologies including high-level proficiency and understanding of data visualization, data mining, statistical analysis, cloud computing and analytical programming languages such as SQL, R and/or Python. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and other software applications such as Azure, Redmine; PeopleSoft, Relational Database Management, Tableau/Power BI and statistical analysis (R, Python or equivalent), required.Strong analytical, critical thinking, independent judgment, problem-solving, curiosity, organization and planning skills, as well as, knowledge University policies and precedents. Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to appropriately communicate with a wide range of individual of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including translating technical language to a non-technical nature, successfully train end-users and public presentations. Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
