Job Description
Position Summary:
Student Services Representative assists with admissions, enrollments, and student services.
Essential Functions:
- Providing current and prospective high school students and parents with pertinent information regarding NUVHS programs, courses, delivery format, technical information, requirements and online course operations.
- Providing office support around recruitment, enrollment and related student services tasks.
- Navigating the school student information system (PeopleSoft) to access and manage student records.
- Responding to specific prospective student/parent inquiries by telephone, email and mail.
- Assisting students/parents with the submission and processing of admissions applications.
- Process prospective student applications, complete enrollment requests, process financial transactions and fulfill transcript requests.
- Navigate the customer relations management system (RightNow & OnDemand) to manage email communications and leads.
- Retrieving voice messages and ensuring prompt responses and resolutions to customer inquiries and/or concerns.
- Assist in answering the general information “866” line to answer inquiries.
- Navigate the learning management system (Blackboard) in order to address student/parent online course questions and to dialogue with NUVHS teaching staff.

Requirements:
Education & Experience
EDUCATION: __
- High School diploma preferred; one year of college preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum one (1) year administrative office experience in a professional environment
- Prefer experience in K- 12 academic/admissions counseling, recruiting, advising and serving high school students in an educational and technical setting.
Technical / Functional Skills
- Strong customer service focused skills; ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a demanding position.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
- Must have strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in using computers, including Microsoft Office software suite.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.
Competencies
- Knowledge of online education delivery systems (Blackboard LMS).
- Experience with customer relations management and student information systems.
- Ability to work as member of a team and to develop collaborative working relationships.
