    Position Summary

    Under the direction of the Provost & Vice President of Learner Experience, the AVP Academic Management role leads the logistical operations of Nightingale College (NC) to provide an orderly, efficient, and predictable academic environment for the learners, faculty, and staff of Nightingale College.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Utilizes predictive and descriptive data on NC operational health to guide logistical efforts.
    • Monitors and adjusts existing logistical practices and policies to improve learner experience.
    • Serves as primary project, change, and communication management for the College.
    • Collaborates with other functions to provide a smooth learner journey from start to graduation.
    • Oversees the logistical implementation of catalog and other College policies and internal procedures.
    • Serves as primary point of contact and project manager for NC logistical initiatives such as automations.
    • Serves on various committees which may require involvement in grievance, dispositions, or exception request appeals, etc.
    • Supervises Academic Management team members and yearly functional budget.
    • Creates and maintains Operating Procedures documentation.
    • Oversees collaborating operational procedure training and monitoring of proficiency.
    • Participates in other College Function collaboration.
    • Prepares reports, responses, and otherwise participates in accreditation and regulatory activities.
    • Collaborates to complete other initiatives as needed.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • Earned terminal degree in Education, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related fields, MBA with 10+ of relevant experience may be considered.
    • 7+ years of successful leadership and operations experience in business operations, proprietary education, educational technology, health care administration, or other related industries.
    • 3+ years successfully managing remote hybrid teams.
    • Project management or change management certifications are preferred.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong critical thinking and ability to solve complex problems in highly regulated industries.
    • Fluency with curating, visualizing, and use data in decision making.
    • Demonstrable capacity to create order and efficiency despite ambiguity.
    • Competent with Microsoft Office Tools, Learning Management Systems, Web-conferencing, Web-based work environments, etc.
    • Strong interpersonal, people, and process management skills.

    All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
