Design Group is recruiting for a Production Manager in our Leesville, SC location reporting to the Plant Manager. WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE? In this role, you will oversee employees and shift operations to ensure production, quality and safety requirements are met. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implement Company safety policies and procedures and promote 5S and good housekeeping practices for department facilities.
    • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and quality improvement efforts, monitoring and reporting processes.
    • Participate in and facilitate monthly safety and communication meetings with department personnel.
    • Direct and assign work to all weave room personnel, adjusting as needed to meet the production schedule and customer priorities while staying within budget.
    • Shift weave room personnel in a fair manner to meet the needs of production.
    • Conduct department interviews, present department orientation, and oversee training of all new shift employees.
    • Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as a team to help meet Company goals and objectives.
    • Manage the day-to-day activities within departments to meet expectations and identify and implement solutions to daily issues to address root causes.
    • Perform any other task necessary for the smooth operation of the department as a whole to ensure all employees have the tools needed to be successful.
    • Investigate labor and material variances and identify and implement opportunities for improvements.
    • Utilize company MRP system to identify warps required to meet the needs of production plan and create work orders for new orders of Greige and yarn dye.

     

    WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?

    • Ability to read, write and do basic math. Some post-secondary training or education is desired.
    • Manufacturing or production experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
    • Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel and Word.
    • Experience working with an ERP system (MAPICS preferred).
    • AS400 data retrieval and entry experience.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing with ability to implement.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION

    Graduate of an approved school of Ultrasonography or Radiologic Technology with cross training in ultrasonography

    Vascular Technologist credentials preferred

     

    REQUIRED LICENSES:

    Demonstrates the ability to provide care according to licensure and registration requirements Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) Basic Life Support certification
