    Hunt Servicios de México, SRL de CV (the “Company”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., a recognized leader in oil & natural gas exploration and production, refining, as well as investments in the real estates and electricity sectors.

    The Company is seeking a candidate for the position of Sr. Planning Engineer based in Mexico City. The Sr. Planning Engineer will join the Hunt team that works with owners, users and operators of power transmission facilities across Mexico, Central America, and South America to identify and market applications for new products, including power flow control devices, which can improve existing or future transmission systems.

    Main duties and responsibilities include:

    1. Perform planning studies for the expansion and/or upgrading of transmission systems.
    2. Identify viable opportunities for improving transmission operations through the addition of power flow control devices.
    3. Conduct power flow studies of transmission/grid systems.
    4. Develop recommendations regarding justified transmission system additions necessary to meet applicable reliability criteria, enhance operational flexibility, or reduce or eliminate transmission congestion.
    5. Prepare reports, presentations and other documents for senior management and clients.6Responsible for leading the technical discussions with customers of the Company.
    6. Develop and maintain direct relationships with key customers to grow the business.
    7. Prepare and deliver product presentations to customers.
    8. Coordinate and participate in product marketing activities, seminars and training sessions. Provide representation during industry events.

    Candidate must be able and willing to travel from time to time (up to 50% travel internationally and domestically with overnight stays required)

     

    Required Skills

    Languages and Education

    • Must be fluent in Spanish and English both written and verbal.
    • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
    • A graduate degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis on power transmission systems is highly preferred .

    Required Experience

    Work Experience and Skills

    • A minimum of 8 years’ industry experience is required.
    • A minimum of 6 years of work experience in transmission planning or analysis for Mexico’s (CFE’s) grid is required.
    • Work experience performing studies involving FACTS devices is preferred. .
    • Experience using power system analysis software packages including PSS/E or Power Factory is required.
    • Knowledge of CFE’s transmission grid, energy market, planning practices, market challenges, and development activities is required.
    • Must be able to think strategically to identify and structure potential business. transactions.
    • Must have effective problem-solving skills.
    • Proven success working in small teams integrated by members with diverse skill sets is required.
