Job Description: PT Admissions Concierge 2 Temporary positions available through September 15, 2018 Non-benefited position, up to 20 hours per week Lynn Campus Supervised by the Executive Director of Admissions, the Admissions Concierge must possess high energy, flexibility thriving in an intense environment, and have a results driven attitude and focus for student success. This position will be responsible for daily interaction with current applicants to the College and their families, Admissions team members and staff members from other areas such as: Enrollment Services, Advising, and Financial Aid. The purpose of the Admissions Concierge is to transition admitted students to enrolled students. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assists potential students as they move through the admissions process from the point of application until they enroll at the College. Responsibilities include, and are not limited to,effectively and persistently providing prospective students and their families with information regarding admissions, fulfilling application requirements, and providing guidance through the necessary steps to become registered for classes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes outbound phone calls to new applicants to encourage FAFSA completion, orientation attendance. Completes outbound phone calls to students to encourage event attendance for Open Houses, College Exploration Days, Accepted Students events, Registration events and New Student Orientation. Completes outbound phone calls to new students to encourage registration for classes. Participates in on campus events (set-up, tours, etc.) including Registration events and New Student Orientations as needed. Adheres to a strong customer service orientation and works with Admissions/Outreach Office, Enrollment Centers, and Student Financial Services to increase access to the College and reach the College's enrollment goals. Maintains accurate data entry of all recruitment activities within NSCC student information system, Hobsons Radius, and/or Excel in order to provide accurate recruitment and admissions statistical reports. Participates in frequent meetings to share progress on student cohort. Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of NSCC policies, procedures, and programs, as well as labor market information, and applies that knowledge to individual situations to assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and all community constituencies. Other duties as assigned Reports to: Executive Director of Admissions Requirements: One year experience in related office or customer service setting. Minimum of an Associates degree preferred. Community College experience is a plus. Knowledge of the principles and practices of student recruitment and admissions. Outstanding public relations and customer service skills. Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends. Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively establish interpersonal connection with culturally diverse populations. Sensitivity to the concerns and needs of diverse student populations is required. Must be positive, persistent, detail oriented, energetic, team-orientated, capable of motivating self, and require limited supervision. Ability and desire to work effectively within a fast-paced, rapidly growing, intense, and multifunctional office environment. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Additional Information: SALARY: $15.74 per hour, non-benefited position, up to 20 hours per week.
