BENEFITS
All adjunct faculty are required to be part of the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System (MPSERS). Adjunct faculty are eligible to receive tuition benefit during the following academic year based on the contacts taught in the previous academic year.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the safe and productive activity of teaching NMC students the skills required to pass the various Flight Ratings required by the AAS in Flight Technology and be a successful pilot in the Aviation Industry. While conducting training the Flight instructor will ensure safe operations during dual and solo flight lessons. A major indicator of Instructor effectiveness is displayed in the student’s ability to progress through the program. This position requires the ability to work with other staff and students in a productive and professional manner. This individual must be able to create a positive learning environment for students. As a Flight Instructor, this person must abide by rules and regulations set out by the Airport, Local Law Enforcement, TSA, FAA, and NMC. The successful candidate will have sound judgment and decision making skills.
