    We’re seeking a Dean of Academic Affairs (Nursing) who embodies empowerment, influence, inspiration, and passion. In this on-campus role, you will guide the strategic and operational direction of our Tinley Park BSN program—ensuring academic excellence, championing student success, and empowering a high-performing faculty and academic support team.

    As a key academic leader on campus, you will oversee program delivery, maintain compliance and accreditation standards, and ensure our curriculum remains relevant and forward-thinking. You’ll cultivate a culture rooted in Chamberlain Care and Covista values while driving outcomes that make a meaningful difference for students and the communities we serve.

    What You’ll Do

    Drive academic excellence & student success

    • Execute the BSN academic strategy with a focus on NCLEX pass rates, persistence, graduation, and student satisfaction.
    • Lead continuous curriculum evaluation and improvement to meet accreditation and institutional standards.

    Build and lead high-performing teams

    • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain faculty and academic leaders with accountability for teaching excellence.
    • Oversee faculty workload models, scheduling, performance, and professional growth.
    • Support faculty and staff through a culture grounded in Chamberlain Care and Covista expectations.

    Ensure operational excellence

    • Manage academic operations in collaboration with national support teams, including budget, resources, and instructional infrastructure.
    • Serve as a key liaison to boards, community partners, and internal stakeholders with professionalism and care.

    Advance innovation and program growth

    • Lead academic initiatives and expansion efforts with agility and vision.
    • Partner closely with central academic teams to implement academic strategy, curriculum changes, and new initiatives.

    • Academic operations run smoothly, compliantly, and in alignment with institutional expectations.

    Other duties as assigned. Compliance with all policies and standards is required.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Nursing required; doctoral degree preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in nursing education, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Current, unencumbered RN licensure and/or multistate privilege to practice nursing in the applicable state (required).
    • Proven ability to lead with professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment—especially when managing sensitive and confidential matters.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, policy interpretation, and operational decision-making.
    • Skilled in conflict resolution, faculty development, and fostering high-performance cultures.
    • Proficiency with technology and academic systems; strong overall computer skills.
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of academic and operational excellence.

    Additional Information

    _In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,171.61 and $181,034.70. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
