    JOB TITLE: Student Office Assistant, Student Hourly Staff

     

    DEPARTMENT: Office of Student Development

     

    PAY RATE: $11.25 for work prior to 7/1/2019; after 7/1/2019, rate increases to $12.25 

     

    NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 1

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists in providing excellent customer service to students and staff in person and via phone.  Assists in organizing the office with assigned daily, weekly and monthly office duties as well as various events and projects to help meet department goals.  Looking for detail oriented students who are willing to provide a positive and professional image, highly accountable to meet assigned deadlines.

    • Be able to follow a daily/weekly/monthly timeline

    • Be able to organize documents accurately and efficiently

    • Be able to file, scan, copy and route paperwork to appropriate locations

    • Be able to run errands around campus

    • Assist with event planning, including set up and tear down

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

      

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

     

    • High School graduate

    • Customer Service skills

    • good organizational skills

      

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

     

    • Be familiar with Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point

    • Be experience with online research (Google, Bing, etc)

    • Be able to type proficiently

    • Be experienced with office equipment

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    TIME COMMITMENT

    15-20 hours a week (may not exceed 20 hours per week)

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM:

    • RCIS, RN, or RT preferred or related health care license
    • 3 years clinical experience in the interventional or peripheral cardiovascular laboratory or Thorough knowledge of current interventional practices and procedures
    • Ability to conduct high impact presentations during training and customer presentations
    • Proven ability to demonstrate strong persuasive, objection handling and problem solving skills in high pressure situations
    • Proven ability to demonstrate team contributor competencies:  Action Oriented, Perseverance, Learning on the fly and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of computer applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to manage multiple projects
    • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment consistent with organizational and department guidelines.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • 5+ years of clinical experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular laboratory that utilizes the ACIST contrast management system
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2 years of outside clinical applications or sales experience in the cardiovascular laboratory or interventional radiology area
    • Experience in Sales and/or Sales support
    • Scrub experience preferred

      

    OTHER:

    • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
    • Able to stand for prolonged periods (2-4 hours) wearing a lead apron (~30 pounds) 
    • Travel Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to travel overnight 50% - 80% of the time
    • Able to travel by car for  up to 5 hours
    • Air travel within U.S.
