    Graphic Designer I Position Description: Okta is looking for a talented and versatile Graphic Designer I to elevate the design for every marketing need of the company: presentations, demand generation, campaigns, user conferences, you name it if people can experience it, then we want you involved to make it well designed. Oktas Creative team helps with the concept and development of stories, content, campaigns and experiences that connect Okta with the world. Were looking for a strong graphic designer capable of producing work that would stand out on Dribbble and Behance (or wherever you like to strut your stuff). Youll report to the Head of Creative as a member of the Creative team. You will work closely with the Sr. Brand Designer, Graphic Designer II and Sr. Project Manager. With Marketing as your primary focus, youll work closely with that team as well. Everyone values design at Okta. The Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams are a highly collaborative bunch that are passionate about design and user experience. Each team is skilled in their specific areas. The Product Design team guides the visual direction and user experience across products Creative translates that visual direction across marketing and sales experiences. The Creative and Product Design teams support and push each other to keep raising the bar. Youll join a team that enjoys working together: they take their work seriously, but diva behavior is nowhere to be found. Frequent design critiques are held to gather valuable feedback and keep each other up to date on whats happening. Responsibilities: Major areas of responsibility include: -Support senior level designers to produce high-quality creative assets, illustrations, and infographics for digital and print your time will be split between digital marketing powerpoint decks, campaigns and conferences. -Design pixel-perfect design solutions for demand generation projects. -Develop and implement your own work under supervision of design lead. -Take ownership for solving moderate to complex design problems. -Actively develop a practical knowledge of Okta design standards and process. -Create visuals that are inspired by our brand guidelines, but also push to extend and evolve Oktas visual language over time. -Learn how the collaboration process works between creative, marketing and other design roles. -Understand our users and target audience to inform your design solutions. -Manage multiple projects we value focus but we are an agile team in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment. (P) Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -A strong portfolio that demonstrates your design skills in digital, print and exhibit preferably work that has been seen by real users, not just experiments or school projects. -Possess an expert understanding of graphic design, typography, color theory and composition. -Demonstrate proficiency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite. -Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Powerpoint and Asana. -Ability to take complex technical solutions and present them to people in simple and engaging ways. -Be a team player, no job is too big or too small. -1-3 years of experience as graphic designer. -In-house experience a plus. Education and Training: BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. graphic or visual communications), HCI, or related field or equivalent practical experience. Okta is an Equal Opportunity Employer. (P) (P)
