    Library and Archives Paraprofessional 2 - Poulsbo Salary $12.75 Hourly Location Poulsbo Campus, WA Job Type Part-time Hourly Department Instruction Job Number 18-19-P10 Closing Continuous * Description * Benefits * Questions Description Olympic College is recruiting a qualified, library technician who will perform journey level technical library tasks for the Poulsbo Library. The Library and Archives Paraprofessional 2 will work independently and exercise sound judgment and discretion in determining the scope or level of service. May supervise and train lower level library technicians, clerical staff, student employees, volunteers, or interns. Essential Functions * Perform technical Circulation tasks using the assistance of a computer automation system and Student Management System, such as: * Circulation of materials and equipment;* Manage fines amp; fees and overdue notifications;* Manage community patron accounts. * Contact patrons with overdue items via email or phone;* Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and the public;* Create book displays;* Process inter-library loans and course reserves from the Bremerton, Poulsbo, and/or Shelton library;* Perform related duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * High school graduation or equivalent AND* Three (3) years full-time equivalent (FTE) experience in the functional operations of a library including one year beyond the entry level or equivalent experience* Basic level computer competency Equivalent education amp; experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered i.e. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in library technology and one (1) year FTE experience. Additional Information Terms of Employment: This is a part-time hourly position and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
