    Project Coordinator - Career Services Salary $15.75 Hourly Location Bremerton Campus, WA Job Type Part-time Hourly Department Workforce Development Job Number 18-19-P31 Closing 1/7/2019 11:59 PM Pacific * Description * Benefits * Questions Description The Career Services Project Coordinator will provide services to increase students' employability upon completion of their Professional-Technical degree or certificate. This position will perform under general supervision of the Career Services administrator. Essential Functions * Plan and coordinate all support services for Career Center events, activities and workshops.* May arrange for campus tours connected with events.* Facilitate event planning and evaluation meetings.* Plan and monitor event deadlines. * Plan and develop event budgets, including preparing and processing billing, speaker fees, and other fiscal transactions.* Monitor expenses against established budget and order supplies.* Develop publicity material; prepare news releases and contact news media; compile mailing lists; arrange for reproduction and mailing of materials.* Provide on-site coordination of registration such as nametags, packet materials, rosters, and program evaluation forms.* Assure that physical details such as furniture arrangements are completed and that supplies and media equipment are ready. * Compose and type memoranda and correspondence to event participants, site personnel, and others involved with events. * Review event and services for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, emergency procedures, and ADA compliance during programs/events.* May supervise staff.* Perform other work as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * High School graduate or equivalent* 2 years of progressively responsible, directly related work experience.* Intermediate computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets and databases, MS Office preferred. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.* Experience in event planning, marketing, and relationships management preferred. * Knowledge of higher education, in particular community college programs. Successful applicant will be able to: * Proficiency in MS Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to work and learn new technology software required.* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.* Demonstrate written, oral, and technological communication skills.* Develop and maintain working relations within the campus and business community.* Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and staff to provide effective career center services. Additional Information Conditions of Employment: * Successful completion of a criminal history background check.* Work is performed in a fast-paced program office which includes the use of a variety of office equipment and moving and organizing of materials.
