  • Responsibilities

    HealthFitness has a new opportunity for a part-time (5-20 hrs/wk based on scheduling) SQUASH INSTRUCTOR at our client site located in Cambridge, MA. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting private and buddy squash lessons. You must be willing to assist with facility programs and events when appropriate to aid in marketing the squash program.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

     

    • Teach beginner and intermediate level squash skills.
    • Evaluate squash techniques and prescribe drills based on skills and abilities.
    • Aid in marketing squash program.

     

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

     

    REQUIRED:

    • PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • Current squash teaching certification or at least 2 years of squash related coaching experience required.
    • CPR/AED and first aid certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred, but required within 30 days of hire.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
    • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
    • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
    • Ability to maintain a clean and orderly indoor golf range.
    • Ability to work closely with other squash instructors or squash participants.

    Bachelor's degree required and 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
