Title: Part-time Contract coordinator

Description
- This is a fully remote part-time position, 20-24 hours a week, with the bulk of the hours being carried out inside of the 9a-5p Eastern window, including morning meetings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
- The position is a mix of asynchronous work and scheduled online calls with candidates.
- The ideal candidate is one who is looking for flexible, part-time work, and has a space with reliable high-speed internet where they can work online and do remote meetings.
Responsibilities
- Conducting initial meetings with candidates, assessing their suitability to contract with us, giving them a sense of what the platform is like, and answering any questions they may have.
- Making offers to candidates, tracking paperwork, uploading documents into the system.
- Communicating with candidates-whether via email, phone, or text-to answer questions or concerns they may have either before or after their initial meeting.
- Using platforms like Salesforce, Calendly, Constant Contact, Jobvite, Microsoft Office and OBS, to manage open teaching opportunities, correspond with candidates, demonstrate platform functionality, and track candidate progress through the contracting journey.
- Being able to clearly communicate the differences between an independent contractor position vs an employer/employee relationship to our candidates.
- When recruitment is low, helping out with operations projects, like teacher outreach.
Essential Requirements:
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages a plus, but not required.
- An associates degree or above
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in Recruitment/Sales or Teaching experience.
- Being tech savvy, but also good at assessing when others may not be, like their ability to access online platforms, troubleshoot their mic, camera, etc.
- Flexible, with the ability to pivot quickly as business needs change.
- Exceptional relationship-builder, both with candidates and colleagues.
- Knows when to take initiative on opportunities that will help the team and the business.
- Solutions oriented. Able to identify problems and propose ways to solve them.
Preferred but not required:
- Past ESL teaching experience.
- Past experience with remote workers and/or independent contractors.
Compensation: $18 - $19 per hour
