    Online Program Intern-Graduate Student -Campus/Location: -University Park CampusDate Announced: -11/30/2018Date Closing: -open until filledJob Number: -84411Work Unit: -Student AffairsDepartment: -Career Services -Description Penn State Career Services is seeking a dynamic, self-starting Spring 2019 Intern to help expand its reach and impact on students, diversify its employer base, and enhance collaboration with faculty/staff across the University, including the Commonwealth Campuses and World Campus. Employment into summer and fall semesters possible based on funding availability. The position responsibilities include: Support setting up and utilizing technology for remote streaming, online only, and recording of career programs; Interact online with students participating in remote programs through chat rooms, polls, and Q&A sessions; Benchmark and research recommendations for components of online career workshop best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning; Collaborate on the development and delivery of workshops and training to staff in the use of instructional resources, technologies, and educational best practices; Utilize developed process to facilitate tracking student attendance at workshops requested by faculty/staff and student organizations; Enter data into databases, and maintain files and records; Collaborate on conducting surveys and assessments for feedback on the quality of programs; Assist with the development and design of workshop learning objectives, modules, and interactive workshop activities; Pilot the following projects in collaboration with other staff: development of online career resource; host online employer office hours; and track workshop requests throughout semester; Assist with other programs, fairs, and building access for students, faculty/staff, and employers. Required qualifications: Experience with creating and implementing online learning opportunities. Knowledge of instructional and/or curriculum design to support career workshops offered with remote access. Ability to work quickly and efficiently independently as well as within a team. Some experience with audio/video editing. Experience creating workshops with Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Sway. Experience with Excel. Preferred qualifications: Experience with Brazen or similar online networking platform, social media live feeds, Zoom or similar video conferencing platform, One-Button Studio software, animation video software, and educational apps for supporting interactive workshops. Anticipated work schedule: The position requires up to 20 hours a week during the weekdays, with occasional evening and weekend hours. The position offers some flexibility with creating your work schedule.
