Postdoctoral Associate, Amyloidosis Center, Boston University Chobanian Avedisian School of Medicine
The Boston University Amyloidosis Center is seeking an experienced scientist to join our diverse, interdisciplinary team, working to understand and develop new treatments for systemic amyloidosis. Working with our unique archive of clinical data and samples, the successful candidate will apply a range of approaches including protein biochemistry and cell biology to model systems and patient samples. The goal is to identify biological mechanisms of disease that can be targeted by novel therapeutics, and to translate that knowledge into potential drug candidates.
This position requires hands-on laboratory work, analysis of multidimensional data including statistical approaches, good organization and excellent communication skills. Demonstrated experience (ideally publications or preprints) in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
In addition to designing and performing high quality, innovative research, the successful candidate will be expected to publish peer-reviewed articles and compete for external funding.
