  • Responsibilities

    One NIH-funded postdoctoral associate position is available in the upcoming laboratory of Dr. Yifei Liao in the Department of Virology, Immunology and Microbiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

    The Liao laboratory focuses on tumor virology and related cancers/diseases, with a particular focus on epigenetic and metabolic controls of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) lifecycle in lymphoproliferative diseases and carcinomas. The lab integrates cutting-edge CRISPR genome editing, transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics approaches to study herpesvirus-host interactions in lymphocytes and epithelial cells.

    Required Skills

    The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Virology, Microbiology, Cancer Biology, Immunology or a related field. The candidate is expected to have extensive experiences in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and DNA and protein related biochemical assays. The candidate with solid background in virology, 3D cell culture, or organoid model is particularly encouraged to apply. Strong time management and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment are required.
