Internship | COB Agency Prairie View A&M University Department Dean, College Of Business Proposed Minimum Salary $16.00 hourly Job Location Prairie View, Texas Job Type Student Worker Job Description The PV S.T.E.P. Intern, under general supervision, will assist the College of Business with providing administrative support for the Assistant Dean for retention and the Colleges summer bridge program Business Scholars Summer Program (BSSP). Responsibilities: * Assisting with the Business Scholars Summer Program (BSSP) for incoming freshmen * Assisting students where needed & serve as a mentor to freshmen * Working evening and weekends in a fast-paced environment * Maintaining database for tracking the status & performance of students * Tabulate surveys from various recruitment events & programs * Collaborating with assistant deans on planning and implementation of student services programs for the 2018-2019 academic year * Attending meetings and events related to assignments * Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: * Currently enrolled for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours * Minimum 2.5 GPA; Must be in academic good standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college * Students must have completed 60 undergraduate hours by the conclusion of the Spring 2018 semester. * Registered for classes in Fall 2018 * Graduate students must be enrolled in at least three (3) graduate hours, preferably in his/her field of study Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to analyze data * Written and Verbal communication * Multi-tasking * Organization * Work cooperatively with others * Facilitate meetings Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses: * None Other Requirements: * Commit to working the entire internship experience (30 hours per week) * 300-500 word synopsis regarding the students interest in the program * Be registered for classes in Fall 2018 * Be eligible to work in the U.S. Job Posting Close Date: * 4/23/2018 Required Attachments: Please attach all required documents listed below in the attachment box at the bottom of the "My Experience" page of the application before continuing through the application.
