The Director will oversee and be responsible for the overall success of the preschool. The following are the responsibilities of the Director:
Curriculum Development
Drive implementation of high quality, research based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with WorldTots goals and vision
Oversee teaching staff in the development of day to day lesson plans and foster trust and collaboration among staff
Work with staff and families to analyze and meet the needs of individual students (Individual Learning Plans)
Community Development
Drive family engagement by actively planning and participating in school events throughout the year
Promote consistent, regular communication with families (at both the school level and the classroom level)
Identify and meet the needs of families (starting with the sales process and through when the student leaves the school)
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure that our school complies with all federal, state and local regulations and licensing requirements
Manages all facility repairs, maintenance and improvements
Attain/retain accreditations
Managing Staff
Hire and retain highly qualified staff (as measured by education and experience)
Provide ongoing coaching and support and purposeful professional development opportunities for staff
Nurture a culture that strives for excellence while valuing and recognizing the contributions of each and every team member
Ensure that all staff meet their continuing education requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
A minimum of two years teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program, management experience preferred
Must meet state licensing requirements
Proven leader, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
