YiYiEnglish is on a mission to modernize the ESL market by delivering inventive, engaging teaching materials over a digital platform to students in China. The EdTech start-up, based in China, has a growing office presence in New York comprised of Silicon Valley, education, and business veterans.

The New York office is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded individual to join the ranks of its Curriculum Development team. The intern would be highly-involved in the management and production of the start-up’s core output, their ESL Curriculum. On a daily basis, the intern would be project managing, creating original content, analyzing materials, and editing deliverables for quality and integrity. A successful individual must thrive in a fast-paced, technology-forward, international start-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project manage rapid turnaround products through industry-standard online tools
• Lead quality assurance for educational content through standardized review, modification cycles
• Assess and match the appropriateness and relevance of content to student demographics
• Facilitate relationship with external collaborators by directing, reviewing their contributions
• Escalate high-priority and systematic challenges to leadership; proactively troubleshoot solutions
• Initiate new efforts to achieve organizational efficiency gains

• 0-2 years experience as a content creator/editor
• Current college students and recent graduates
• Strong grasp of the English language, grammar, punctuation required
• Detail-oriented and self-organized
• Clear, accurate communicator
• Technology savvy, specifically in Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Trello, Asana, Slack
• Friendly, collaborative, no-challenge-too-big-nor-small attitude
