The Opportunity
As a valued member of the Undergraduate (UG) academic team, your role is to support the day-to-day operation of the program and to assist with future planning and organization. Assisting the academic team with administrative duties, building course pages, managing student engagement with the academic team, and assisting with planning/scheduling events are all part of your domain in this role. There are great opportunities as well to think about efficiencies and build and improve processes.
The successful candidate will be a master of the details, extremely efficient and smart about finding the best solutions, someone comfortable with taking initiative and being independent. Being comfortable with a bit of ambiguity, having a love for “figuring it out” and a talent for navigating new systems on your own is a big plus.
Role Description
The Program Coordinator will report to the Program Director and Registrar and will work closely with the Program Managers and academic leadership to ensure the effective delivery of the undergraduate program. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is passionate about education, and is committed to delivering excellent service to students and faculty.
Responsibilities:
Act as a first point of contact for student academic queries.
Work directly with Program Management team to assist with developing, organizing, and cultivating resources to support UG program development and execution.
Monitor student progress, attendance, assessment administration, and student inquiries.
Advise staff, faculty and students on academic system navigation, creating resources where needed.
Support with exam schedule and execution
Provide support for online and in-person course facilitation and system management.
Assist with course building and learning platform management.
Assist with coordination of events, some nights and weekends necessary.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will:
Be skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of platforms like Canvas and Salesforce
Be familiar working in organizational, operational or logistical functions
Have a positive attitude and team spirit
Have excellent communication skills, written and oral, in day-to-day dealings with faculty, staff, and students
Be an independent worker, able to use his or her own initiative and able to prioritize tasks and operate to tight deadlines
Have a high attention to detail
Have excellent project management skills
Possess a proven track record in administration and experience in an academic environment is preferable
Must have work authorization in the United States, no sponsorship opportunity provided
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Relevant experience in program or project management, academic operations, content curation, course facilitation, learning design, or technology roles.
International work or study experience is a big plus.
Proficient in standard software to manage data, interpret reports, and generate professional, well-presented documents and presentations, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Canvas and Salesforce.
Able to work some nights and weekends.
Fluent English speaker with similar level in written English.
