Success Academies delivers on this commitment through our distinctive school design that features a fully integrated and sequenced K-12 curricula built upon a progressive pedagogical foundation. Our distinctive school design also emphasizes experiential learning that offers extended opportunities to deepen scholars’ understanding, encourages scholars’ exploration and cultivation of untapped talents and/or interests, and enables scholars’ development of lifelong skills and attributes. Such skills and attributes include adaptability, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership and resiliency. Our schools offer a robust selection of Scholar Talent courses that may include Performing Arts (Music, Dance, Theatre), Visual Arts, Debate, Chess and Athletics.

    The Experiential Learning department supports educating the whole child through two primary teams. The External Enrichment team manages our externally provided enrichment offerings such as Field Studies, summer programs, and after school events and programming. Our Scholar Talent team designs and curates the instructional content and supporting programming for both in school and after school scholar learning. The Scholar Talent team also supports teacher development through targeted content and pedagogical trainings, observations and performance assessments. Content design includes the development of a scope and sequence of teaching units with scholar learning objectives by grade, associated assessment tools to check for scholar understanding, and supporting resources to reinforce learning objectives. Supporting programming includes Performing Arts performances, Visual Arts exhibits, and Athletic, Debate, and Chess competitions.

    At Success Academy, we are intently focused on achieving and sustaining extraordinary school quality with experiential learning being an important element. Our Education Institute is leading our pursuit of extraordinary school quality by setting our vision, core values, and standards for excellence in teaching, inclusive of instructional design and management and instructional development. What we do in Experiential Learning, in particular Scholar Talent, must uphold these core values and adhere to the standards for excellence to fully enable extraordinary school quality. We now need a results-driven Scholar Talent Program Lead to join our Experiential Learning team to accomplish this.

    Reporting initially to the Head of Experiential Learning, the Scholar Talent Program Lead will work in partnership with our Education Institute to align our Scholar Talent vision and content with our core values and standards for excellence. The Scholar Talent Program Lead will build out and manage a requisitely skilled and experienced team of Scholar Talent content managers that develops and updates content, assessments, and other instructional resources across the content areas, as well as support teacher development in partnership with school-based Scholar Talent Managers. Eventually, Scholar Talent will become part of the Education Institute and the Scholar Talent Program Lead will work closely with our Chief Learning Officer, Executive of Education Institute and the Head of Experiential Learning to effect this transition.

  • Qualifications

    A successful applicant will have the following experiences and characteristics:

    • Strives for excellence in all aspects of teaching, inclusive of our scholar talent events and competitions, as well as what happens in the classroom;
    • Continuously desires to take stock of outcomes to drive further improvement;
    • Works with purpose and intent towards increasing the quality of teaching practice as demonstrated by scholar learning outcomes and teacher performance;
    • Has extremely strong writing and proofreading skills
    • Has a strong work ethic and ability to work flexibly
    • Has a strong entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to establish protocols and processes
    • Demonstrates an ability to design and lead projects that produce strong learning outcomes; and
    • Has strong attention to detail.
    • B.S. or B.A. degree as well as personnel management experience is required.
    • Teaching experience is a plus.
