  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for performing assigned duties that evaluate the Quality and Food Safety of products, equipment, and plant environment that support the goals of the Quality Assurance Department

    MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (i.e., Policies, procedures, etc. for which you are responsible.)

    Performs daily pre-operational inspection on equipment and areas as needed.  Performs daily operational sanitation and GMP inspections during operations.  Completes Data Entry of tests generated by QA department and other Production related observations.  Assists in Training QA Staff and Plant personnel as needed  Sample Check-In: Log in samples for microbiological and chemical testing.  Collects samples and performs process control testing as needed.  Completes any HACCP designated tasks  Daily audits of plant procedures and processes  Assists in data collection and preparation of special product tests as needed.  Completes Sensory and Physical measurements on raw materials and finished product and collect samples as needed.  Remove garbage/clean up spills.  Perform inspections of equipment to ensure no foreign materials are introduced into the process  Perform AQL inspection on inspection table  Perform piece counts and box audits of finished product to ensure meeting specifications  Clean and Sanitize QA equipment and utensils.  Perform temperature checks of product and areas throughout plant  Perform related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS  English language skills (reading and writing) required.  1-3 years Plant QA experience  High school degree  Computer experience with Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
