  • Responsibilities

    The Junior Health Economist will collaborate with PEPReC staff and investigators on select project teams under supervision of the Senior Health Economist and Director of PEPReC. Tasks will include literature review and synthesis; analysis planning; execution of analysis plans; creation of presentations, reports, and manuscripts; and responding to requests from operations and research partners.

     

    The Junior Health Economist must have a PhD in economics, health services research, or closely related field and experience working on health care financing, clinic management, comparative effectiveness, program evaluation, or access to care. 

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

     

    • Leader project teams to execute literature reviews and analysis across multi-faceted research areas; develop the strategy, manage the FTEs and progress, responsible for success of the project teams to Center Director (40%)
    • Creation of presentations, reports, and manuscripts (30%)
    • Lead analysis, planning and project management for independent research projects and provide technical consultation on projects led by other investigators (13%)
    • Respond to external requests from operations & research partners (10%)
    • Literature review for all relevant national and international publications related to PEPReC research and interests. Synthesis into comprehensive reviews targeted to varying audiences (management, media, layperson) (7%)

    Required Skills

    • Doctoral degree in related field
    • 5-8 years of experience in related field

    • Advanced written and oral communication
