    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Education or a related field and over four years of work related and supervisory experience.

     

    THE ANTICIPATED STARTING SALARY PENDING FISCAL APPROVAL IS $41,500.00

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Classroom instruction to assist student to develop and/or improve the skills needed to function independently and obtain COMPTIA certification in one or more of the following, COMPTIA A+, Network+, and Security+.
    • Assess, test and evaluate students as necessary on each certification tract and provide oral reports in an agreed-upon format, upon request, written documentation on student progress each month for billing purposes and a final written narrative report in an agreed-upon format, after the student completes training.
    • Provide monthly reports for billing to include student progress reports, test scores, attendance, and course content taught during the month.
    • Develop daily lesson plans and present lessons accordingly.
    • Develops and implements policies and procedures for area of responsibility.
    • Coordinates use of facilities, and secures instructional materials, equipment, and other supportive services as needed to facilitate programs; serves as department liaison as required.
    • Attends or conducts staff and other professional meetings to exchange information: attends professional seminars or conferences to improve professional skills or assist with programs.
    • Supervises staff, including training, assigning and evaluation work, counseling, and disciplining; ensures compliances with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as, college policies and procedures.
    • Coordinates with academic/college community to conduct ongoing effort to determine needs of area of assignment as a basis for developing programs, activities, and projects; plans and forecast program needs.
    • Gathers and maintains information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities and events for assigned area. Maintains record system for area of responsibility; processed daily paperwork including reports, memos, and requisitions.
    • Promotes available programs, activities, and projects by preparing or participating in the preparation of announcements, press releases, bulletins, brochures, and other correspondence.
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  The successful candidate will be working with Division of Blind Services clients and will be educated and trained by the Division to instruct visually impaired and blind persons. The candidate recommended for this position must have demonstrated successful  ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to interpret information and make logical decisions; ability to operate a calculator, PC and keyboard; ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time performing detailed tasks; and ability to maintain a high level of concentration.  The successful candidate will also be able to work effectively with diverse populations, while providing quality customer service always. The successful candidate will coordinate record keeping for students and develop student training plans in conjunction with the Division of Blind Services. He or She must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.

    • Must have the ability to work in a number of airline Departure Control Systems simultaneously

    • Must have sound knowledge of passenger handling systems and aircraft inhold systems

    • Must be familiar with client airline manuals including loading and stowage of dangerous goods

    • Precise understanding of all aspects of operational safety, security and emergency and load control procedures as outlined in APSM, Ramp Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Ramp Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Aircraft Loading Manuals, Load Control Procedures Manuals, Corporate Emergency Response Plan, Corporate Policy Manual, and Aviation Security Program /Security Manual
