Position SummaryOversees the operations for Quest’s food management accounts in a specified area. Responsible for overseeing financial and culinary accountability for assigned accounts. Manages Chef/Managers, Food Service Directors and Food Service Manager personnel and oversees all safety and sanitation as it pertains to each assigned account and reflects Quest’s high standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cascades the vision of Quest Food Management Services ensuring the Quest vision, values and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood and practiced
Manages staff to include selection, work allocation, training, coaching and mentoring, problem resolution, performance evaluation and feedback, and corrective action
Identifies and mentors next level personnel to grow with company and develop career paths, including training schedules
Reviews the schedules, time cards, and attendance records with assigned unit managers monthly to ensure consistency and accuracy
Completes QA forms and evaluations [sanitation, dining room observation, etc.] for assigned units
Trains, mentors and coaches managers
Oversees that unit managers consistently maintain high food quality and service levels
Leads by example and maintains a professional and reputable work environment by enforcing company policies, standards and best practices that brings out a positive employment brand
Interacts with clients on a daily basis and maintain excellent client relationships through open and honest dialogue
Stays abreast of the competition by analyzing quarterly market analysis and consistent research of menu trends
Provides financial expertise in overseeing management of Food, Labor and Direct costs for assigned units
Educates our client(s) with monthly meetings with transparent financials
Holds managers accountable for food, labor and direct cost controls and control expenditures for the account
Manages each account’s marketing strategy programs to increase sales growth
Manages accountability of staff using goal setting and performance management process
Manages costs on all recipes with all accounts
Assists managers with recruiting
Oversees and holds managers accountable for all purchases and inventory levels
Oversees all menus and recipe compliance for all units through month assessments
Work in conjunction with the Chef/Chef Manager(s), and Food Service Director(s) to anticipate trends and roll out new concepts and ideas
Maintains Quest’s high standards by managing customer service and exceeds our client’s expectations through delicious food and gracious hospitality
Motivates management to consistently thrive to keep the account(s) fresh and exciting
Maintains account(s) in compliance with SOP standards and HACCP standards
Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food practices
Follows all Quest policies and food safety guidelines
Enforces a safe working environment for all unit accounts by means of training, direction, and auditing
Participates in AGM’s Shadow Program
Performs other duties as required
Job Requirements/Specifications
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum five years of multi-account management
Extensive experience in the food service industry including a vast knowledge of establishing client relations and maintaining long term client relationships
Exemplary leadership skills
Expertise of the P&L impact and accounting practices
Possess excellent training and development skills and extensive opening experience of new accounts (Requires presentation skills where revenue generating ideas and/or menu tastings are presented and discussed)
Experience with cost controls, sanitation and safety is required
Strong communication and client management skills
Solid knowledge of financials
Proficient in MS Office
Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Service Manager)
Must adhere to all fleet safety policies
