Position Summary Responsible for developing and executing catering solutions to meet customer needs. Facilitates the delivery of prepared food created from an event-specific work order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cascades the vision of Quest Food Management Services ensuring the Quest vision, values and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood and practiced.
Demonstrates commitment to Quest vision, values and missions through actions on a daily basis.
Manage staff to include selection, work allocation, training, coaching and mentoring, problem resolution, performance evaluation and feedback, and corrective action.
Deliver consistent quality in planning and execution of events.
Leverage established company solutions to ensure consistency, quality and efficiency within consumer driven offerings.
Manage catering team to ensure quality in final presentation of food.
Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.
Responsible for delivering food and labor targets.
Develop and execute strategies to achieve catering revenue forecasts.
Train and manage employees to ensure knowledge of food menus and promotional calendars.
Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles.
Complete and maintain all staff records including training records, schedules and performance data.
Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables.
Handle catering events of varied size and scope, including staffing and management.
Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food practices.
Follow all Quest policies and food safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements/Specifications
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of food service or catering experience and prior experience in a management role
Strong communication and client management skills
Solid knowledge of financials
Proficient in MS Office
Responsible for meeting and maintaining state and local certification requirements (Food Service Manager)
