  • Responsibilities

    The team of Dr. Rhoda Au seeks a Research Applications Developer for their work on various grants.

    The primary responsibilities include development of data collection, processing and quality assurance pipelines for data, primarily digital data types, collected at the Framingham Heart Study, BU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and other research sites. These main digital data types include digital voice, imaging (brain MRIs, PET scans), digital pen, transcriptions, and data collected via mobile apps. These pipelines will be focused on processing and preparing the data for analyses that will identify risk factors in cognitive aging and dementia. This position requires advanced programming skills (preferably in Python, R, or SQL), special attention to data provenance, and familiarity with version-control systems. This position is also expected to be proficient in scripting for file and text manipulation as required for standard data management requests.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience.
