RESEARCH ASSISTANT 2, School of Medicine, Anatomy & Neurobiology
The Research Assistant will support an NIH-funded research study on the impact of psychosocial stress and cardiorespiratory fitness on brain health and mental health in Black emerging adult college/university student and will require conducting informed consent and screening, providing technical support, including maintaining minor equipment, organizing and archiving datasets; data collection, including cardiorespiratory fitness testing, collecting and analyzing actigraphy data, assisting with structured interview on mental health, trauma history, perceived discrimination; and assisting with tasks related to community engagement as needed. This individual will work closely with the postdoctoral fellow. The candidate should have relevant prior experience in an academic research setting. The candidate should also have experience working with a diverse research team and interacting with diverse groups of research participants. This position may be well-aligned with individuals considering future doctoral study, given the research exposure and technical work involved.
