    Required Qualifications **: **This position requires an Associate **** degree in Art, Art Education, Photography, Library Science, Museum Studies or a closely related field, and a minimum of one (1) year related experience. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and/or work experience in a museum or professional gallery setting are preferred.

    Working Hours: **** This position will normally work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Evening and

    weekend hours are required as needed, especially during selected museum programs and events.

    Key Responsibilities : This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.

    • Assist with the preparation, design, organization and installation of temporary and permanent exhibitions.
    • Provide art-handling, packing, shipping, and scheduling assistance for temporary and permanent exhibitions.
    • Provide technical and organizational support for museum programs, classes and lectures; assist with daily museum operations including maintenance, security and facilities; produce exhibition wall text, interpretive panels, signage, didactic labels, gallery notes, visitor packets and other supporting material; and provide technical digital imaging support for museum exhibitions, publicity and marketing materials and activities.
    • Maintain all collection records, files, images and the management software; maintain record system; process daily paperwork; and monitor and record appropriate environmental conditions in all exhibition, collection, preparation and study areas.
    • Provide technical and organizational support to college and K-12 faculty to develop educational materials; assist college faculty, staff, students and visitors as needed; maintain appropriate records of all exhibitions and program activities including statistics, sample works, photographic documentation, archives and ephemera; and configure and install appropriate exhibition lighting.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Must be detail oriented, flexible and have knowledge and skill in working with Microsoft Office products and other computer software programs.
