    JOB SUMMARY

    MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-5PM

    Provides technical direction, serves as a point of contact or business liaison, prepares briefings for senior management and assists in problem resolution specific to the program/project.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Plan and schedule project timelines
    • Track deliverable using appropriate tools
    • Provide direction and support to project team
    • Designs and tests electronic products or related electronic controls and devices by interpreting blueprints, manufacturers’ specifications, written and verbal instructions.
    • Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Production
    • Will be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.
    • Participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electrical units, systems, and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity.
    • Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new products.
    • Manage the work of the Production Technical Support Employees whom report to you, giving clear direction, setting metrics, evaluating thorought MRS on a consistent basis.
    • Provides technical support to Production, Sales, and Purchasing for bids and proposals.
    • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
    • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
    • Advises Repair Techs and other personnel of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Demonstrated planning and organization skills
    • 1-2 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
    • Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
    • A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
    • Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems.
    • High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
    • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
    • Must be highly safety conscious.
    • Exposed to high voltage electricity.
    • Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Qualifications of project Management or equivalent
    • Electrical Engineering degree.
    • Technical or Industrial product knowledge a plus
