Summer Law Intern- Part-time, temporary position. The Early Settlement Mediation Grant program is seeking a temporary part-time summer law intern. The position will be working 12 hours per week from June 4, 2018 through August 10, 2018. The position will be under the direction of the Early Settlement Mediation Program Director. This position will be responsible for mediating in small claims court for Canadian and Grady Counties, working with community volunteers and observing family mediations. Qualified person must be self-starter who requires minimal supervision and has the ability to prioritize work assignments. Qualified person must have good oral and written communication skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Office. Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Education, Human Resources, or related field preferred. The applicant must be currently enrolled in law school. Qualified person must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Qualified person must have attended or be able to attend basic mediation training program from the Administration Office of the Courts and become certified in order to maintain the position.
