AHWC seeks a service oriented,enthusiastic medical assistant who is dedicated to providing quality care andpromoting wellness. The MedicalAssistant (MA) will assist physicians and other providers in The WellnessClinic by setting up the room, clearing and preparing the room after avisit, basic patient monitoring, basiccounseling and education, phone triage, EKGs, venipuncture and otherassessments ordered by physicians. Clinical: * Measuringand recording vital signs. * Recordingclient interview and history notes. * Workingsupportively with multiple providers using the clinic. * Providingroom set up and clearing. * Assistingphysicians with phone triage and follow up. * PerformingEKGs, routine screening tests and venipuncture for laboratory tests. * Assistingwith providing written and verbal instructions and education to clients asordered by providers. * Understandingand discussing clinic services with clients as needed. * Assistingproviders with procedures as needed. * Maintainingsupplies in exam rooms. * Disposingof biohazard waste according to OSHA standards. * PracticingOSHA safety standards. * Performingaccurate, legal and ethical documentation at all times. * Performingother duties as assigned.
